Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel & Spa executive chef Dan Elinan wants you to sample his new summer menu—yes all of it! This globe-trotting chef arrived in Monterey at the beginning of the year and he's proud of the way he's been able to bring TusCA Restaurant back to its original concept—a fusion of Tuscan and California flavors using fresh ingredients sourced from local farms and food artisans. The Monterey Summer Issue Release Party will be a very special opportunity for EMB readers to sample his exciting food—dishes such as Shitake, Fava Bean and Ricotta Bruschetta made with Schoch Farm cheese or Artichoke Fritters. He also wants you to try Honey Stung Brussels Sprouts made with honey from Carmel Honey Company, Salinas Valley green salad with citrus and smoked nuts drizzled with an Extra Virgin Olive Oil blend made just for him at Quail & Olive and a deeply flavorful vegan risotto cooked with coconut and almond milk. Purveyors and farmers will be on hand to mingle with guests and talk about their products. There will be wine and beer available for purchase.
